Lab Västerås
On September 27th-29th we meet in Västerås to discuss the development of a safe inclusive City Center. At the lab, Västerås shared insights on their planned development and the challenges they are facing.
We also got inspiration from different parts of the Nordic region. Malmö shared how they in their project Communities that Care they work together with other actors to support the development of children and young people through a combination of social and physical efforts. The artist Kenneth Balfelt talked about his experiences of developing places for and together with vulnerable groups. We also managed to visit several different places that the host city wanted us to help them think about. The lab’s participants then produced suggestions on how they could be developed.
