Welcome to Lab Västerås September 27^th- 29^th. The focus of the Lab will be on safety and inclusion in the city center.   Västerås is facing a major development with i.a. an expected population growth and new international citizens. In such a development process, how can we ensure that the city center, with its many different urban spaces, is a place that is experienced as safe and inclusive? At the Lab, we will work with concrete urban spaces in the city center in Västerås, and we will hear from various actors what challenges and potentials they see. Thus, the focus will also be on how different forms of collaboration and organization can help to raise such an issue around safety and inclusion.   There will be inspiration and perspective with other Nordic examples - both in relation to concrete urban space development as well as process and cooperation. We welcome participants from different administrations within the municipality as well as external partners who can contribute to the discussion about the safe and inclusive city center.   Very welcome!
