Hi Birita Wardum, new board member of NCN since earlier this year!

Tell us something about your work.

I have been City Architect of Tórshavn for almost 10 years now. Together with my six employees, we work to develop Tórshavn municipality into a capital where the well-being of the citizens is prioritized, at the same time as we work with the overall urban development strategies.

 

So, Birita, what is the best thing about NCN?

The annual conference! Along with the member activities throughout the year, it provides us with great inspiration. As a small town, NCN offers Tórshavn a network and an opportunity to stay updated on Nordic urban development.

 

What will be your biggest contribution to the work within NCN?

I hope to contribute with perspectives from the smaller member cities and the challenges that we in Torshavn face in the urban development. NCN has a great potential in the upcoming years to become an even broader network with member cities from all the Nordic countries.
