Save the date! Lab 2024 – hosted by Lund

We are so pleased to reveal that this year’s Lab will take place in Lund September 25-27th.

 

The secretariat and our friends in Lund are in full swing with the planning of it all. The detailed program for the three days is yet to be decided, but at the time of writing we know that it will follow this year’s theme of “Livable cities – how do we develop attractive and urban environments”.

 

Lund, with its multi-core structure, is an especially interesting example on the theme relating to aspect such as identity and hierarchy as well as role distribution between the main city and smaller villages. The lab will take its geographical starting point in the village of Genarp and explore how a vibrant countryside is created based on questions like:

• How do we get visitors to use public transport instead of cars?
• How do we create experiential paths in a village environment?
• How can we promote the intermediate use of municipal properties?
